Mate Havertz isn’t an issue. He’s doing exactly what he was specifically brought in to do. It’s not a coincidence him being subbed on equals goals in the densely packed midfield game states. Be great if he went on a creative mad one but that’s not why we bought him.
So… the problem is ESR and Vieira not being constant so they can be the normal attacking 8 option.
I don’t think we need a gundogan type, play rice and partey and you’re about there. We need the Bernardo silva type to compliment Mø
Rice and Partey is too negative for every team we play except City imo. Whatever type Bernardo Silva or Gundo, we need a high pass volume press resistant player. We messed up that left 8 recruitment this summer imo.
Pep barely ever played gundogan and rodeo together in midfield…. Only big games…. Was just that weird period gundogan couldn’t miss so pep played his as the false 9 😂
