Please put a runner next to him! If guys like Ramsdale and Gabriel can be dropped solely for stylistic reasons, then so can Odegaard. He’s limiting Saka’s game and right now isn’t producing enough to justify that.
White enables this non stop with his passes & overlaps, you don’t want two people to overlap on the right of him as it makes what he does far more predictable
That’s not enough though. White overlaps like 5ish times a game. It’s an occasional option but not a consistent one. It’s not reasonable to expect White to provide that every single time Saka has the ball, he has other responsibilities too. Also, Saka moving into the pocket means we’re over-occupying the half spaces unless Odegaard moves out of it
Ben White has the most overlaps in the league this season out of any player. The chemistry between Saka, White & Odegaard is top, every player can have a bad game but that trio is a big part of why Saka is so dangerous to begin with imo
