Ramsdale was dropped even though was playing good and didn’t made any mistakes, this is the third match in a row where Raya has been sus (Lens, City and Chelsea), if Arteta really means it when he’s saying that it’s a competition between the two then he really needs to prove it, if Raya starts next game then Arteta proves that he’s waffling and just needs to admit that Raya is our number 1.
Personally i don’t mind Raya becoming the main keeper, he definitely wasn’t the main issue in our performance yesterday and in our lack of fluidity this season but Arteta really created this issue out of nothing by saying that it’s a competition between the two.
I 100% agree with you, I personally prefer ramsdale tho as I feel we play better with him and just imo I think he is better. But I just cannot believe arteta on this subject, he clearly has a number 1 and it doesn’t look like it’s gonna change
Ramsdale was dropped for how he ended last season and trying to bargain with Arteta to go long more.
Whether you rate Raya or not to say Ramsdale was dropped for no reason is absolute BS.
