This reminds me of that fucking Alonso allowed goal, after he crosslined Bellerin. Because he “wanted it more”, so his allowed to play recklessly. Fucking cheating oil club are allowed to take down our players without any repercussions all the time.

Wasn’t even mentioned as a possible pen on commentary despite them saying that keeper had clearly clattered him.

Funny how these things are interpreted differently. The commentary in Germany was in a bit of disbelief that this wasn’t a penalty.

Refereeing is just very frustrating these days in the PL. It just makes watching games a lot less fun.

Probably ultimately because Jesus was never getting there. If the keeper contacts Tomi with the punch its a pen (they said Onana’s shouldve been pen)

Tbh its the right call but the main point stands that keepers get away with shit like this when no other position on the pitch does

Same case as the onana incident against wolves. Both penalties. Both not called out. Keepers are way too protected.

Should have been a penalty on the shirt hold on Tomi even before the foul on Gabirel.

I think keepers should be allowed to punch whoever is in front of them. That is their prerogative and if the perks of the position

He was even down for a while, giving them plenty of time to look at it through VAR, yet they never called the referee to look at it. Like what in the actual fuck? He plowed straight into him with force and was nowhere near the ball.

Because that’s never given as a penalty: goalkeepers are a protected species.

Did they do an apology for the Onana one? Hmm… yep. Yeah, okay, clearly it’s a “we acknowledge it should be a penalty but we’re going to keep not awarding these because we’ve never awarded them” situation.
