One of the biggest criticisms of this team is that were too emotional and lose our heads in key moments. We kept it cool vs City, which reflects incredibly on the team’s mentality development
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves and say it was convincing. Great defensive performance, but we won off a face deflection lol. That game could’ve gone either way and we were a bit lucky to get the 3 points (brilliant game management from Arteta with the subs though)
Compare that to any of our games vs city in the last 5 years, thats the best we’ve looked in a long time.
Haaland was a complete non-factor in that game, and that’s the most toothless they’ve looked in attack since Pep took over.
Granted, they were missing key players but it’s football and sometimes the circumstances just work in your favor. A statement performance nonetheless though.
