Neymar’s recent injury record is a warning to the team and pl refs what will happen if they continue to let Saka get kicked and hurt week in and week out without repercussions.

I think it says more about Neymars professionalism and lifestyle.

He was very much like Ronaldinho off the pitch.

Of course being kicked around plays a part too but not the main imo.

Nah come on man. Neymar had played 225 games for Santos before he was 21. That’s like 5/6 full seasons. Then allhe accomplished playing in Europe. I don’t think the lifestyle is the main reason here.

It is also a potential warning regarding playing time. Neymar played over 10,000 minutes for Santos before he was 21 - Saka played over 13,000 minutes before the same age. Messi played 6,462 minutes before he turned 21, and Ronaldo played 8,125.

Every player is different, and I don’t mean to imply causation or anything. It is striking to see the difference though.

Lol. Neymar and Saka are playing in the least ankle breaking period of football…. Watch any game from 15yr ago+ and compare.

A few bruises on the ankle is nothing in comparison.
