Hello Swedish friends! I hope you’re all well (:

So, I’m a young Portuguese guy and I was wondering what Swedes should think of Portugal and the Portuguese. I did some research, but found almost nothing. So I decided to ask here.

I’m very curious to hear your answers! (:

I spent a lot of time in your beautiful country. Sometimes i find the Portuguese to be arrogant and a bit non friendly. Not too service minded i feel like.

Lots of amazing people for sure, but mostly middle aged or older people.

But young men try to be very macho and aggressive, especially in the surfing community. I understand that many feel like me as a tourist are riding “their” waves on Portuguese beaches. But I would also like them to understand that I come from a country with basically zero amount of good wave patterns and nasty cold water.

Surfers are dick heads in general. So my analysis might be a bit unfair.

Yes, I understand what you’re saying. And don’t worry, all experiences are valid! Whether good or bad.

I hope you meet more friendly Portuguese people next time
