Milo Yiannopoulos, the British commentator once aligned with the American far right, has publicly denounced his past support for President Donald Trump after being detained and deported by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) last week.

Yiannopoulos said during a Tuesday appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored: "To think that the promise and hope and joy and the anticipation of Trump 2016 could, sort of, over the course of 10 years, collapse into this ugly, warmongering, whole mentally ill heap of crazy with some of the most unstable and lunatic people, seemingly directing the president’s actions.

"If I had any clue that anything remotely like this was even possible, I would never have got involved in supporting Trump in the first place and I’m very ashamed that I did.”

This motherfucker is testing the waters to see if he can find a new grift. He’s gonna say he’s ashamed of everything he’s said and done and regrets them deeply, he’s gonna say he’s been reformed, and he’s gonna reimagine himself as a progressive, if people let him.

      And sadly, enough people might.

Frankly, this whole thing is probably very good for his brand, which is making money by being the center of attention at literally any cost

The fact that anyone is even talking about this shithead again is probably the best thing that’s happened to him in years. it’s almost certainly instantly revitalized his career of being a tremendous piece of shit.

It is rumored that Laura Loomer reported him to ICE out of spite in some cunty bitch fight between the two of them, but she may have actually done him the biggest possible favor ever by providing him exactly what he always wants: victimhood and relevance. The fuel on which his shitty fire burns.

(seriously, no one‘s even heard from this son of a bitch for eight or nine years, and now he’s front and center in the news? Fuck!)

I doubt it will even be a matter of hours until he’s got an entire new YouTube channel and book deal dedicated to this bullshit, just raking in the money

yea, the entire maga brand is all about being vastly superior to every other group in every possible way, while simultaneously being perpetually oppressed and victimized by the very people who are supposedly so inferior to them

it’s all mind-bogglingly asinine bullshit. let him stir up the whole planet’s gay-but-also-maga acolytes into a frenzy from abroad. go get’em tiger

You’re right. Ignore all of this nonsense and let him fade into obscurity. His former followers will trash him, because he dared criticize ICE, and thus, dared to criticize The Leader.

We’re in election season for midterms, and the presidential and general elections start the very next day after midterms, so we are effectively in the presidential elections as well - that means we have to stop giving attention to distractions and people who grift from them, like Milo. If they’re not moving the needle on the most important decisions being made in the next two years, it’s a distraction and a grift, just ignore it, put it on hold, or let the experts handle it, especially if there’s literally nothing you can do except amplify a message you have been handed by someone else.

He briefly repudiated prez when it looked like he was toast after 2020, then embarked on a crusade to pull catholics to the right wing, (now known as the devil.)

Edit: I am not sure the repudiation was after 2020 actually, I forget, and don’t care. I already know Milo is a piece of fucking shit.

That’s the wrong contacts. They thought it would only affect the “others.”

This is effectively a man who just discovered he’s not a part of the “in” group, and generalizes his issues to the general population.

He gave them permission to be openly racist, sexist, queerphobic, and xenophobic.

He basically said it’s okay to abuse others based on your own ignorance and economic frustrations. Latent, indirect hatred has persisted in this country for a long time. This country never fully went through restoration after the Civil War. This kind of nonsense should’ve have been totally wiped out. These douchebags capitalized on that cultural legacy.

Yeah, if you read that article it’s basically Patient Zero for the incredible amounts of conservative privilege that is assumed.

Now, I wonder if this asshole might think about someone who is a leftist or non-white and not from some European country and not some well-connected right winger getting kidnapped and disappeared and what their ordeal may have been like, or is like?

101°F yesterday with 45% humidity and clear skies. My WBGT readings yesterday were in the mid 90s. You couldn’t stand still outside yesterday without breaking a sweat.

I know the imperial system is ridiculous in almost every sense and I wish I would have been taught metric as standard growing up. But even after having learned ambient temps for Celcius, Farenheit is the much better measurement for weather. 0° is cold as shit and 100° is hot as shit.

I actually used to make that same argument. “Celsius is better for science, but Fahrenheit is better for weather because 0-100 describe human experience.” But I decided to be scientific about this and test it. And to do that, I would need to learn Celsius intuitively. I’d have to spend some time with it. So I switched all my devices to Celsius, came up with a quick heuristic to do conversions until I got the sense of it, and started my experiment.

That was seven years ago. I’ve not gone back. I much prefer Celsius for weather.

I was already liking how much more meaning a degree has since they’re less granular than Fahrenheit, but then experiencing my first winter in Celsius solidified it for me. Having 0° mean freezing is so much more useful than I ever thought it would be. I was shocked by how much I appreciated 0° as freezing.

23°F doesn’t inherently mean anything to me. I know it’s below freezing. But -5°C means as much more cold than freezing as 5°C is warmer than freezing. I could figure that out for Fahrenheit, obviously, 23°F is as far below freezing as 41°F is above it. But it’s obvious with Celsius.

And once I spent a few months getting a real sense of the numbers I regularly experience in Michigan, I already had a good sense of what other numbers mean. People say, “100°F sounds hot,” and that’s true. But when one of my co-workers over in India told me it was 40°C where he was, I intuitively knew that was fucking hot. That sounded hot. It turns out, once you get to know the scale those senses come along.

To think that the promise and hope and joy and the anticipation of Trump 2016…

Gotta stop you right there, Milo. That wasn’t hope and joy. It was good old fashioned hate put in a nice box to make the Far Right feel like they had a new movement. This outcome was anticipated by anyone with any real knowledge or the most basic critical thinking skills.

These alt-right provocateurs never really cared about anything at all, other than earning rage clicks for cash. The people who were victimized by their rhetoric weren’t even a consideration.
