Interesting if that is true and GTA fans are crazy or is it just some artificial drama to create additional “hype” around the game and sell some consoles at overprice.

That fucking stupid, do the scalpers know that the GTA VI won’t be on the 5 but the 6? And do what they want I have PS5 and even if I didn’t wouldn’t buy another one. Hell the one I have now is in its original box and put away.
What are you talking about? It is very much releasing on the 5. In about 2 months. We haven’t even heard about ps6 yet.

Well it’s also available for the Xbox Series S, so why wouldn’t it be available on the PS5?
I watched that preview on Netflix but didn’t pay close attention at the end but did it not just say “captured on PS5”?
Surely it would’ve said pro of that were the case? Gta5 similarly blew our minds and that released on the ps3.

Doesn’t matter fuck Rockstar will not pay 100 dollars for a video game.
It comes out November 19th on the PS5. It’s also not a hundred dollars unless you but the premium version.
Really when did all that change? What is the price? Because just months ago Rockstar was doubling down on the hundred dollar price tag. Is still not going have disc or did that change too?
I believe the regular version will be $70. It’s releasing as digital only but they did say they might print actual discs later on. They’re probably trying to show down piracy I’m guessing.

It was only ever here and in niche places. We may be morally right, but we are a fraction of a percent. Sony planned all of this to coincide with GTA 6 because they know 99% of people wouldn’t care because it’s GTA.
Which, I’ll admit I’ll still buy the game, but next year on PC.
Hope we don’t have to wait longer than a year.

If I was going to spend that money for a console, I’d still opt for a Steam Machine too.
I think the point is the first release of the game is on playstation. PC is normally the last platform rockstar releases games for iirc.
Hell if I know, I’m going to wait to buy it until it’s not an insane price.

So glad I outgrew GTA back in the early 00s. I get its an ultra-beloved franchise, but after playing I-IV when they were originally released, I realized the formula never really changed aside from the online multiplayer. The lengthy development cycle on these games also leads to dated tropes and cultural references once the release window hits. I remember dipping my toes into V just to see if it would grab me like IV did. Within the first 2 hours, I was eye rolling and groaning at the dialog and character personalities. Full reign crime spree just doesn’t hit quite the same when you can just look outside your window for a comparable experience.
tldr: Unpopular old guy opinion.
If I had fuck you money I’d definitely spend my days going Jay and Silent Bob style on electronics scalpers
