yesterday’s full moon in the morning from mount hawkins. there’s something so alien about seeing the moon out during the day to me for some reason.

i actually think i failed to capture just how large the moon seemed in person. i took a number of shots to try and frame the scene differently, but the moon’s position was still a bit too high to punch in while also effectively including the landscape to establish perspective. if the socal smog weren’t there and if i waited an hour or so, the shot probably could’ve been better with the moon closer to the horizon. ah well, live and learn
I feel like a daytime moon is more definitely orbish, not disclike. Reminds you that the Earth you’re standing on is also an orb.
