Contrary to popular belief, the word is not ele-copter, but in fact is “eleco” meaning “elephant” and “pter” meaning “WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT ELEPHANT DOING IN THE SKY”
I thought it was from them hearing the British say " 'at’s wa’s called a 'elecopter!" so they just made it match the word.
I can’t believe this didn’t catch on. It’s such an obvious idea in retrospect. Hannibal would have loved this.
