Paris does it. The Italians do it. London is already seeing “shutdown by proxy”. Why not just formalise it?

    Depends if businesses can sustain themselves averaged over the rest of the year. If summer is the only time they make bank then shutting down doesn’t make sense, right?

    London like many major cities is now overran by chains and they care about money and nothing less. Even the tat tourist stores are chain now, and Camden is only barely passing for unique and affordable anymore. Chains wont shutdown, and independents cant afford to.
