Rolled oats, craisins, apple, pumpkin seeds, brown sugar, butter honey. The apple is the first one I’ve ever eaten from my own tree that I planted years ago. Normally they went bad before ripe and I’d give them to the chickens.

My cat occasionally begs for oatmeal when i cook it. Apparently it’s a approved in small doses food!
I inherited a cat from a dead friend. The cat nearly starved themselves to death before I found the problem: their diet had consisted entirely of rotisserie chicken and occasionally some Arby’s roast beef as a treat.
I weaned them from rotisserie chicken to a vet approved homemade cat food. Oatmeal was a key part of that recipe. Eventually from there I got him to dry food.

Back East we had some kind of apple trees in which the fruit never properly ripened, then went all Johnny Rotten. I’m not much of a sweets maker / baker, but baking the suckers seemed to work okay in apple pies and whatnot.
