The USA is a nation of immigrants. Immigrants and the diversity that comes with their acceptance into the country is what makes America great.

The sudden shift to hostility against immigrants (more specifically immigrants of color) is truly the definitive death of whatever glory America was once able to claim.

This kind of hostility has happened before and will unfortunately probably happen again. The Chinese Exclusion Act is 144 years old. Shit, the Alien Act is 228 years old

And given that the birth rate per woman in the US is below 2.1, they actually need net migration.

And it is not the only developed nation with this problem, BTW.

I see raise of hostility towards illegal immigrants, not immigrants of color.

Then you aren’t actually looking into the MAGA cult.

Hostility towards immigrants is always BY FAR disproportionate to non-white immigrants.

Not to mention SCOTUS legalizing racial profiling and ICE intentionally kidnapling and killing legal immigrants, US citizens and avoiding violent criminals altogether.

The world “migrant” doesn’t refer to the same type of people n different countries, this graph is meaningless. Maybe compare “people born in a foreign country and holding passport from a foreign country living in x y z country at one point”.
