I think if you need to physically touch someone in order to even know if they’re wearing a bra…then it doesn’t matter.
This kind of laws lack logic anyway. I suppose it is a crazy mix of religion-based morals + … I don’t know what else, but the similar tier of idiocy.
Deport lawmakers to the USA where those barbarians mentally belong :)
“In the footage, female staff at Olabisi Onabanjo University in south-western Ogun State are seen touching some students’ chests as they queue to enter an examination hall.”
This is also the only way someone could tell if you have something that, ya know, wraps around your back as well?
There are bras that don’t have a back strap, but that’s a terrible reason to grope students.
In response to the outcry, the president of the university’s students’ union, Muizz Olatunji, said on X that the university promoted “a dress-code policy aimed at maintaining a respectful and distraction-free environment, encouraging students to dress modestly and in line with the institution’s values”.
Who’s getting that distraction free environment? The lady who has no say in the matter getting groped before an exam?
…fuckin’ why?
Superstition, fear, and jealousy.
Probably
What. The. Fuck.
