Thanks Maeve! Holding it together for now, having some health complications, but that’s nothing new. :( Doc wants a cancer screening, but it’s not scheduled until September so I guess it’s not urgent? 🤔 Just blood loss and anemia, chills, weakness, shortness of breath, the usual!

Oh no, Jordan. You’re welcome, and I’m truly saddened to hear that. I think I’d push for screening immediately. I know it’s a pita, but you must self -advocate.Buy a notebook and document time, date and questions and answers for every call to your care providers and insurance providers. Call member services of your insurance company, tell them what you’ve told me and if they drag their feet, perhaps in a roundabout way suggest that you may need to seek other professional services. Failing that, if you can swing an oop consultation, the results may be impetus for all involved parties to stop dragging their feet. If it’s within network, later reimbursement may be possible. Also, I’m not sure about where you reside, but where I am, a legal consult is usually free. I mean, obviously it’s up to you, just throwing out some ideas. Please pop in DM occasionally if you’re inclined to let me know how it’s going. If I can help you find ways to move things along, I’m more than willing to do whatever I can do. Best.

The big trick is the screening they want to do is pretty invasive and with my heart trouble, it can’t be done in a simple outpatient facility so they moved it to the hospital proper in case something goes seriously wrong and that means… yeah, September.

Plus I have this whole calendar for which drugs I have to stop taking and when, it’s a whole deal. I’ve already put in to take that whole week off from work.
