The premise is ridiculous not just in that we couldn’t trust this coming from trumps own mouth, but also that it implies that a vice president has any control over any president, much less donald trump.

Agreed. I mean I’m sure one of his biggest selling points to the Trump boys was that JD would have to eat a lot of shit to go from “Trump is America’s Hitler” to his VP pick. I’m sure Trump loves the idea that in taking the job JD would be publicly humiliated, it gives Trump a boosted feeling of superiority over him and feeds Trump’s narcissistic ego.

Edit - oops extra word. =(

Republicans women think they will be the exception. They will be allowed because they aren’t sluts looking to be loose on Tinder.

These women are like all conservatives: thinking the rules exist only to oppress their opponents and will never be used against them.

Eat shit Liz. I’ll never be interested in what you have to say again after the way you conducted yourself in the last two DNC primary elections. Go back to the shadows.

But they’ll believe democrats that are claiming, again, they will preserve them? How many times does the boy need to cry wolf before he’s called out for being a liar?

Democrats will try to preserve/create them. This has been seen over and over again. But to actually do this, they’ll need a Democratic majority in all three seats of power.

They’re fighting against Republicans who are actively doing everything they can to remove rights.

And before someone jumps in with the tired ass " Obama had all three and didn’t codify Roe v Wade" argument, he was blocked by the more conservative members of his own party. Dems need not only a super majority, they need a super majority that can’t be hampered by a couple of holdouts.

Or they could kill the filibuster which only takes a simple majority. Where were the cries from liberals to primary the pro life Dems that wouldn’t back the Freedom of Choice act? They were nowhere to be seen.

Manchin, Sinema, and every member of the GOP specifically blocked a carve out for abortion and voting rights legislation regarding the fillibuster. You can’t primary Manchin from the left, you won’t win. Sinema never planned on continuing her Senate career. She just wanted to cash out. Neither are going to be running as Democrats anytime soon.

The role of Democrats is not to fight republicans but to keep actual leftists from gaining traction or power that threatens the existence of the duopoly.

It’s not bad faith, the DNC has promised for 50 years to protect women’s rights, and did nothing but raise money.
