Less rice?! Speak for yourself.
Absolute blasphemy.
How else will i have left over rice for fried rice if I make just enough?
Yeah what the fuck is this? I’ve only had too much rice with a meal once or twice in my entire life
The spinach part at least is true if you cook fresh spinach. Those leaves will just evaporate.
The correct size is many many handfuls or one bag for most dishes
So is the violence part. Hitler wasn’t defeated with a sit in. The elite chose violence back in the 1950’s to destroy unions. Corrupt governments were never overthrown by asking nicely. The term “speak softly, but carry a big stick” wasn’t made up for no reason.
Sorry summer person, I need to get inside a tight bed while it’s freezing outside to make my problems go away
Oh I like that too I agree. A weighted blanket when it’s -20 in January and you don’t have to go outside is wonderful.
I like to think these are a sequence.
Can confirm.
For lunch I had spinach and rice soup (extra spinach), while sitting outside in the sun with a nice cup of tea. Then I punched a Nazi.
It was a good day.
Also if something calls for garlic cloves you triple whatever number it says.
Triple? In our galley, “1 clove” —> 1 bulb.
I tend to put garlic in even when there’s none at all in the recipe. Making pancakes? Stuff those fuckers with a metric fuckton of the good stuff. I may be exaggerating slightly.
You’ve awaken the inner Asian within me and I will rip you apart if you dare trash talk about rice.
That’s legit.
Never liked tea.
Really depends on the tea for me. I could go for a nice raspberry green tea.
…you can make tea out of raspberries?
You can make tea out of nearly any plant. They are infusions rather than true tea but raspberry leaf or sprig tea is damn tasty
Raspberry leaf, hibiscus, and rosehips. Citrus peel instead of rosehips if you prefer a more fruity blend. Cold press with a teaspoon or two of wildflower honey, add a mint leaf for freshness and you have wonderfully refreshing summertime tea. Add boba for the kids and they don’t mind the low sugar content!
I’m not fancy enough to have all of this, but I have raspberries, mint, and honey. Time to experiment
edit: I am getting so many good tips here, I’ll see if I can make something to post on Lemmy at a later date
Cheese cloth works works amazingly well to wrap your leaves in, no cold press necessary!
Is it really worth to massacre these innocent Raspberry Pi’s just to make tea out of them?
Raspberry leaves specifically. It’s wonderful!
Sure. With raspberries you can use dried berries, leafs, roots. It’s a pretty versatile plant.
You can also make tea out of gummi bears too https://www.thesweetsbarn.net/product/gummy-bear-tea/86
Again: put stuff in hot water and let it soak. Strain said stuff and you have what is loosely defined as tea.
I probably wouldn’t do used radial tire tea, but if that’s what floats your boat, knock yourself out.
Its hot flavor water. What’s not to love?
Honestly, I think I have a bit of sensitivity to the tannins. Gives me an unsettled stomach.
Oh yeah, I guess that would do it.
It only gives me nausea on an empty stomach, have you tried after a meal?
Do you like iced tea?
Violence is never an answer…
Violence is the question and the answer is YES.
When violence is the answer, its time to change the question.
Someone better inform the Allied troops in WWII
Or the Ukrainians defending their homes
What a lovely yet utterly useless statement
…with violence.
That’s a cute theory, but fascists usually aren’t interested in changing the question.
Neither are mosquitoes.
Well, then you just have to change their minds. Physically.
What are you going to do? make me?
You’re right, it is. But who has the power to do that? It’s not usually the people who would benefit from it; violence is the last resort of people whose other forms of control over their own lives have been stripped from them.
A rat backed into a corner lashes out in desperation. You might give the alternative solution to simply move its pursuer, but that only serves to show that you don’t understand how the rat has no such power.
You’re right, violence is not the answer, it’s the question. And the answer is yes.
Violence isn’t the answer. It is a question. And the answer is ‘yes’.
