Every attempt to land on a tank has resulted in the tank not dying in my experience. This is however a double edged sword, as it means you can plant a hellbomb on top of them.

That’s why I always bring an EAT for the hellpod.

It took me like 7 hours to realize you meant that you use the hellpod of the EAT offensively, taking advantage of its short cool down.

Tanks are one of the few enemies NOT damaged by hellpods. They are effectively mobile terrain, you can mount sentries and supply drops to them. If you cover the red ‘eye’ on the mantlet (plate the cannon sticks out of) you actually blind them and they basically can not attack you save driving over you when they hear footsteps.

Yeah well I tried this yesterday… it did not go well. I somehow clipped through the tank and merged inside it from my pod, the tank unharmed. I couldn’t hurt it from the inside, so I had to try and wiggle myself out. That didn’t work, so I tried calling in my support weapon on the tank in the holes that that would kill it.

It didn’t. It stuck on TOP of the tank (my teammates were laughing heartily at my situation at this point, and gleefully told me this). Finally I gave up and asked my team to kill it. It took a first hit, and I then got out somehow! And then I was immediately crushed beneath its treads.

I made sure to land well away from it the next time.

There were three next to each other. One shot got killed by the other two, one I grenaded, the last one spun me off and shot me across the map. highly recommneded
