I feel like I’ve barely had my PS5. I got it so late in it’s availability and I’ve mostly used it to play PS4 games still lol.

As we bought it I said “well you know we’ll hear bout the PS5 pro in less than 6 months now”

I havent felt like I’ve been missing out in anything and in still on ps4. There’s pretty much nothing exclusive to ps5 that I can’t run on my shitty pc or stream with PS plus.

You haven’t really. I’ve been enjoying PS5 ports of PS4 games that have improved graphics and stuff just to enjoy my big nice TV, but if you don’t care that much about that stuff, you really haven’t been missing anything.

I feel the same despite having it for three years or so - I think it’s because I can count the number of PS5 games I’ve played on it on one hand…

I got it on day one and haven’t touched a single PS4 game since I got it. I’ll probably pre-order that PS5 Pro the first chance I get.

I wouldn’t ignore this kind of news. When consoles get new features, developers start using them. Consoles shape the direction of game development. For instance, the ps5 coming with an SSD encourages developers to ignore the limitations of HDDs, which leads to games that are designed around the usage of an SSD to load a lot of content quickly and seamlessly. Cross platform and ported games benefit the most from this

    Big Comcast 10g vibes here.

If you’re appropriating mismatched technobabble to seem innovative (but you aren’t), fuck off.

I always swap consoles each generation. PS2 > Xbox 360 > PS4 > Series X. The PS5 is not tempting in the least so I’m fine with waiting for the PS6.

It’s not AI. It’s just rendering the game at higher than the display resolution then downsizing it to the actual resolution. Nvidia and AMD offer something similar on their graphics cards on PC and they look great vs normal anti aliasing.

We don’t know what it is, since this is all rumor but…

It’s being compared to DLSS, which is AI.

Whether PS is doing plain supersampling or AI supersampling is unclear. But since they’re saying it’s a performance gaining supersampling, it’s probably AI since regular supersampling is worse for performance.
