The bill would require employers to list a wage or salary range in all job posts and prohibit them from asking prospective employees for a salary history.
While it’s a tad weak, Virginia also started some form of a data privacy law (thanks California for getting the ball rolling on this) and tied the state’s ban of gas cars to California’s timeline.
There’s a lot to be thankful to California for paving the way for this.
California already has these laws, and I think Colorado may have passed similar ones. I think it’s a great trend.
Whenever anyone complains about California labor laws, I just assume they’re upset they couldn’t take more off the top at this point.
