Greetings fellow Onewheel enthusiasts!

Welcome to /c/Onewheel on Lemmy, a new hub for our thriving and passionate Onewheel community.

Recently, as some of you may be aware, Reddit made some significant changes to their API which has greatly impacted third-party apps, accessibility, and moderation tools, prompting me to look for a more inclusive, open, and sustainable platform. In response to this decision, I chose to start a new community on a platform that values user-driven content over corporate control. I found that in Lemmy, a place that enables us to shape our own community dynamics without the reliance on a centralized corporate driven platform such as Reddit.

On Lemmy’s /c/Onewheel, you can expect the same enthusiastic exchange of knowledge, experiences, and passion for Onewheel that we shared on /r/Onewheel. My goal is to facilitate a seamless transition and continue building a community that thrives on mutual respect, shared interests, and the joy of Onewheel riding.

I’m currently in discussions with the mods of /r/Onewheel, inviting them to bring their valuable expertise and commitment to this community on Lemmy. I’m am confident that their involvement will uphold the high standards of content, camaraderie, and supportive atmosphere that our community is renowned for.

Whether you’re an expert rider, a tech enthusiast, a casual rider, or a curious newbie, you are welcome here. This is your space to share experiences, ask questions, impart wisdom, or simply enjoy conversations about the world of Onewheel.

Getting started on Lemmy is straightforward. Create an account and you can immediately begin posting, commenting, and upvoting content. For those unfamiliar with Lemmy, there’s a comprehensive guide available here to help you navigate the platform.

Above all, I value community input on how to further develop /c/Onewheel on Lemmy. This community is built by and for its members. Your opinions, suggestions, and ideas are not only welcomed but actively encouraged.

Thank you for joining in this exciting new chapter. I’m eager to see where this journey takes us and how our community evolves!
