  • Uhh…so you know language is like, a social construct, right? As people have come to realize, “spaz” was originally used to describe people with “spastic” movements from conditions like spastic paralysis or cerebral palsy, it’s fallen out of favour.

    That’s all. No one is trying to control you or suppress your language. It’s just not a great word, and the language you choose reflects on your perceived character by others.

    That said, I’m not here trying to police your speech, speak as you will.








  • Who will just be replaced with another. I mean, we’re all here talking about it, but ultimately, nothing will change.


    Edit to add, nothing will change without pushback from the people. Original comment was very defeatist, and change can happen, but not by sitting here with our thumbs up our asses. At least we’re talking about it, I guess.
