I just finished GoW 2018 before I dipped into ragnarok. What an amazing game.
I would give it a solid 8/10 because of repetitive bosses. They’re all just trolls of different colors. The puzzles are fantastic and the fighting is just outstanding. I’m really looking forward to ragnarok.
I finished the story mode of Anarchy Reigns. What an absolutely funny game, it’s stupid action and ridiculous anime bullshit all the way. I’m kinda baffled the multiplayer wasn’t more popular when it came out, it’s the very definition of just jumping in and exploding some stuff.
Mass Effect: Andromeda.
Apparently it got a lot of hate simply because it came out around the time some other games did open-world poorly. But for what Andromeda did, it was very fun and the story was great. Too bad they won’t continue that story, tho.
Sorry, Tali. I’m seeing Vetra now.
Disco elysium: 10/10 my god what an amazing game! Felt like I was doing everything wrong and I was PROUD of it! Not too many games make you feel like that
Just finished Transference. Short game but the story was gripping. I’d give it a solid 7.
SimCity 4 9/10
It feels so casual and easy to approach. All of a sudden I realise that 4 hours have gone by. With better road options this would be 10/10. Next I’ll mod it and check how I feel about it after that.
Just finished super mario rpg legend of the Seven Stars remake after playing super mario rpg legend of the Seven Stars (1996) right before. I would give the original a 9/10 but I will admit I am super biased because it was my first real rpg. The remake is straight 10/10 for me. It does everything the original did and adds optional harder bosses at the end.
Jusant. 10/10.
Final fantasy 16. An 8 out of 10. THe story it’s amazing, the gameplay it’s just good. Overall a good experience.
Titanfall 2, 10/10 easy.
Rimworld, I hardly finished it, will play, some more but 9/10.
Now playing Saints Row 4: Re-elected and having a blast.
Next one will be Age of Empires DE (I play it every year around Christmas), then Outer Wilds, Serious Sam 4 or Cyberpunk: Phantom Liberty (provided it’s discounted at winter sale).
Ys Lacrimosa of Dana. It completely blew my expectations away. I was not expecting this game to keep expanding and keep introducing as many new ideas and gameplay styles as it does.
I played it after having played Ys Memories of Celceta, so I did have an idea of what to expect coming in - but Lacrimosa of Dana surpassed those expectations by a large amount. The increase in scope and gameplay features is significant.
I learned after the fact that some of these bonus things were only introduced in later versions (the PSVita original does not have the entire Dana dungeon, apparently), but still - the experience as I played it on Switch was definitely very rich in content.
I’m playing through Ys Monstrum Nox now, and it doesn’t seem like it has the same amount of stuff going on, unfortunately. It’s still very good, but it’s clear that Lacrimosa of Dana was something special.
Ocarina of Time 3D.
Never played the game nor the original, it was legit mindblowing how good it was for the time it released, I played the shit out of it and explored every area multiple times to try and find everything without looking anything up.
Only issue is a boss design that’s child of its time really 9.7/10
OoT, how’d you play it? Emulator, Ship of Harkinian, or console?
