Hi guys! first time car owner. So about 2 days ago my car has started ”rumbling” while i drive or feels like i’m driving over something constantly. when i speed up to about 45mph it isn’t noticeable but below that it is. It’s got about 55k miles (inherited from grandma but stopped using it around 2013). I think i hit a pot hole but i can’t remember. If anyone could help that would be amazing. hopefully just a rock in my tire 🥲

Check every single one of your tires for visible damage and check the pressure. You may have a flat and not know it. Could also be suspension or alignment related if it’s not the tires, considering you said you hit a pot hole.

possibly a flat which would suck because i just dropped $140 on flat a week ago 🫥and the pot hole wasn’t that deep so i doubt it could be suspension but i don’t really have a way to check . if i jack it up and take a look what should i be looking for?

If a shop performed an alignment, your suspension is probably in good shape. A lot of (good) alignment shops won’t touch it if the suspension or steering shows very much wear.

I had this happen once after a pothole, turns out the impact knocked loose some of the wheel weights, so they needed to be rebalanced.

There are 7273627 different things that could be happening, but check for this too

Does the rumbling “frequency” seem to be affected by vehicle speed? You don’t state how long you’ve had it, but the tires came with the car that sat for 10 years, it’s time for them to go.
