Mitsubishi, weirdly enough, where I’m from (Philippines), they are doing just fine, but they are struggling everywhere else. Mitsubishi have a special place in our hearts, we love our box-type Lancers, Galants, and especially Pajeros. Today though Evos are gone, the Eclipse is an SUV, I really loved the new Mirage but they never thought of making a hot hatch, which would have been perfect!

Deep down in my heart, I hope that one day some billionaire would revive the pontiac name, but I know that’s not coming. My first car was a grand prix gtp. Nothing special to most people, but ol Betty was everything to me. We sold her after I got my first big job and needed a more reliable car to drive an hour one way too. She had 190k, only one window worked, no ac so you had to drive with the drivers window down and sunroof open (GLHF passengers). The ol 4l65 struggled to get into 2nd of you floored it… which I did too often. I found her for sale a few years later. 240k miles, Original motor and transmission. She was mangled. She hit a deer. The owner was trying to sell her heart. I considered picking her up but couldn’t afford it. I bought a jetta gli, and it made sure i was broke at all times fixing it. I drove Betty on my first big date, too move into college, moving out of college, moving into my first apartment. All of my friends and I had fond memories with her. At one point in college, I was so depressed after failing a class I decided I was going to drive as far as I could and find a job doing anything. Me and Betty got one hour away. I stopped and started driving on back roads. I eventually moved near this area and would drive here for fun multiple times a week, my next 3 years of college. I still go back when i get a new car. It’s like an initiation. The pontiac gto was my poster car due to Betty. Same with the ws6. Gm fucked up dropping pontiac for Buick. I guess it was for the best, GM is making actual fucking garbage right now and these awful cam eating DOD v8s, head gasket blowing, water pump failing, gutless recent ecotecs won’t stain the image of the old LS Pontiacs… or even better, my beloved bulletproof L67 powered Grand prix, Black Betty. Rest in peace, my queen, I will find you soon.

Gtps are so underrated. Cheap, reliable, quick, and super comfy. Miss mine but it had over 300k and I already have another L67 to scratch my supercharger itch
