Mitsubishi, weirdly enough, where I’m from (Philippines), they are doing just fine, but they are struggling everywhere else. Mitsubishi have a special place in our hearts, we love our box-type Lancers, Galants, and especially Pajeros. Today though Evos are gone, the Eclipse is an SUV, I really loved the new Mirage but they never thought of making a hot hatch, which would have been perfect!
Well if I could resurrect a brand it would be Saab, I really do miss them. If it has to be a current brand it would be Alfa romeo in the United states.
Man, giant yes to both of these
Saab 100%. Bring back that Swedish fighter-jet shit.
Based on which great fighter jet imagery? The latest Gripen E is an old man shouting about how great it can be as all other major fighter jet making nations shift to the next generation.
The last Saab 9-5 was a really nice looking car, I really liked their designs
How do you feel about NEVS, and the Emily GT project?
Saabs are amazing
I think they’re overrated
Wonder what a Saab which innovated would feel like these days.
My dad was a huge Saab guy. Over the years he had a Saab 99, Saab 900, Saab 9000, and two 9-5s. The first 9-5 was totaled in a huge winter highway accident, the occupants of the other cars all had various injuries, some very serious, but my dad walked away without a scratch. After that experience he just immediately turned around, took his insurance payout and bought another 9-5. When Saab declared bankruptcy my parents both had 9-5s; one a sedan, one a wagon. That wagon looked legitimately good, better than the sedan IMO. And of course they were all very safe and very comfortable.
However, even a Saab fan like him would be hard pressed to revive the brand. He’s since switched allegiance to Volvo because, in his words, “Volvos aren’t totally boring anymore”, and Volvo also continued to innovate while GM slowly strangled Saab.
A resurrected Saab would be some kind of Chinese mockery rather than the real deal. Sometimes it’s best to let dead Vikings lie.
Just came here to make sure SAAB got a mention!
I work in government contracting and when I go to trade shows or conventions I always make a point to B-line it to Saab’s exhibit.
Do you live on a remote island in Alaska? They have been selling Alfas in the US for some time now
Nice Z bro.
I had a SAAB. 1986 900 Turbo SPG9. I LOVED that car!! I can remember bringing it home and showing my dad (mechanic by trade). He opened the hood and looked in and said “Good!” I said good what? He looked at me and smirked, “You need a plumber not a mechanic for this!”
