I’m 21 and about to get my first ever BMW. It’s a 2015 328i with 50k miles super well taken care of and have been looking around for insurance quotes and all of them are $200+ full coverage. I understand I’m young but is there anyone out there that happens to know of a car insurance that might be on the cheaper side for a BMW. I know it’s going to be somewhat expensive for a vehicle like this but I can process paying almost the same amount for insurance as the vehicle itself monthly. Any help is wonderful……

Yeah…insurance for a 21 year old on a BMW isn’t going to be cheap. Full stop. For the record, maintenance will run you about twice what a Japanese or American car will cost as well.

Anecdotally, when I got my car my insurance stayed the same. Went from a 2014 Chevy equinox to 2018 540i. $230 a month for both. I assume because of the added anti-theft and safety features.

Not even a BMW, you’ll pay that at 21 for almost anything with full coverage. That’s honestly not that bad. I’d bet you won’t find anything cheaper, anywhere for a bmw policy.

It’s what you have to deal with. If you want the car, you have to pay for it. 21 is right in the sweet spot for the highest risk factors.

Cheap insurance usually means no under-insured or un-insured coverages which isn’t ideal. Your age and gender make you at risk for any car. It won’t change much unless you drive a 3k beater, it’s not necessarily the car.

Good luck lol. It’s gonna be a arm and a leg. Also with premiums going up it’s not gonna help your case.

I still have a teen label on my insurance and I’m about to be 26. They get rid of it then and a premium decrease should happen…key words “should”.
