Would call this game a must play for new Oled owners. The HDR on this game is exceptional. Been loving some Diablo 4 runs and looks great on the Oled screen but this game today is the one that made me go wow.

Brilliant game also I believe it’s on sale. I have the fidelity and graphic settings cranked up pretty high also. 60fps and the temperature is 62-64 and fan rpm is 2660. Brilliant stuff. Diablo 4 was sitting at this as well on 50 fps with medium-high settings.

Blown away by this thing. I can see I’m going to be playing through Hollow Knight again also it’s been a couple of years since I played it on switch.

This game though I’m so impressed. Just wanted to share that with you all. Perfect game for when the weather is not great and miserable outside. Find a nice cosy spot and play a game like this good times.

i started the blind forest on my LCD last week just to see how much even an SDR 2D game would benefit from OLED and it’s unbelievable how night and day it is.

Another game that looks great that runs at nearly 90fps on high with HDR is Forza Horizon 4, been playing it like crazy and the skybox looks insane in HDR, i’ve never seen clouds pop out the neon white they are in real life except in maybe some iPhone HDR videos, really mind blowing.

can you compare performance of D4 between LCD and OLED, I’m an LCD user mostly play D4 tempting to make an upgrade

    Is it worth the money?

Very much so I would say. On LCD I was locked to 45fps and pretty stable. The temps would always be 68-70 and the fan RPM was 3500-3800 ish. Always had TDP set to 9 to limit the fan and temps a bit.

On Oled deck I can get all the same settings some high and medium the game looks great like on LCD except I’m now getting a locked solid 50fps. I have the TDP higher at 10 and even 11 the other night but the temps are down at 62-64 and the fan rpm was only hitting 2700-2900. Wasn’t even seeing it hit 3000.

So basically better performance for significant reductions in temperature and fan noise/output. That’s without even mentioning what the oled screen itself does to how the game looks.

How Does Diablo 4 play on the Deck? Been on the fence about this one. I’m not in a hurry to play it, so I might wait until it’s at an even deeper discount.

It’s free to try until tomorrow fyi, it runs pretty good. Fluctuates between 40 and 60 fps with default settings.

Want Ori to look even better? It’s not calibrated right on default settings. Loses lots of detail in the brightest and darkest spots. Try these settings (under HDR: on):

-Base brightness: 0.71 (for 1000 nits peak. turn SD screen brightness back up to preference)

    -UI brightness: 1.30

    -Shadow detail: 1.20

Then I set framerate limit to 60, borderless windowed, Vsync off, and in SD quick settings: frame limit 60, allow tearing on. Smoothest, best calibration I’ve found.

Actually it handles High locked at 60fps. My settings in graphics:

        • Graphics Quality: High
        • Resolution Scale: 100%
        • Sharpness: 80% (this gets rid of jagged edge artifacts but keeps all the detail)
        • Dynamic Resolution Scaling: off
