400 mile range, *10,000 lb pulling capacity and not a bad looking machine.

Too rich for my blood. Of course, there are a lot of trucks that fit that description. Don’t need 4 doors, and I used my ICE truck bed for the intended purpose (2000 Ranger.) Would really like a two door, bench seat, long bed. Doesn’t have to pull 10,000 lbs. or have 400 mile range for my use case. So really, half that truck for half the price would work well for me.

I don’t have any delusions that we’re going to see a proper body on frame EV truck the size of your old Ranger or my first gen Frontier, but if Nissan could put their ePower series hybrid system in a new Frontier with a 30-50kWh pack I could see myself buying one.

totally agree with you, I don’t tow, don’t do off-road, I just need to carry my surf stuff to the beach. Few days ago got ranger 2011 and can not be happier. Perfect size for me. aevent 150 is too big. Ford need to make an electric Ranger, simple, small and cheap.

No official announcement from Ford yet but rumors continue to swirl that in 2025 there will be either a Ranger Lightning or Maverick Lightning. Internal codename for it is Project T3, if you Google “Ford Project T3” there is an awful lot of stuff out there, I’m sure at least half of which is already out of date or wrong.
