It can be ethical, unethical, legal, or illegal im tryna wonder how you would make this illegal

What are some ways to try and squeeze more fps out of the steam deck? I still haven’t figured out how to overclock slightly on the new bios 119, if someone can send a tutorial for it that would be awesome.

As someone else said, you can actually upgrade the RAM in the deck, but it’s a pricey and pretty difficult upgrade. Someone on this sub does it, upgrades it to 32gigs

use proton ge instead of regular proton?

succeeds at being vaguely illegal as it contains certain elements that cannot be in mainline proton because of legal shenanigans.

not sure about the improved performance though!

For some games (especially older and/or emulated ones) you’ll get better performance if you turn the Manual GPU clock down so the device has more power for its CPU

Technically upgrading the memory chips to 32gb and faster speeds could help with a few games, and allowing more vram. But I don’t think you want to pay for that upgrade.

If you’re looking for illegal improvements, then you could always try downloading cracked versions of Denuvo-infested games, which should run better since they don’t have malware that constantly checks if you bought the game.
