Hey everyone hope all is well, I am currently a truck driver at 20 years old. I also have a interest in fixing car/ trucks as much as I love driving them.

Thinking about learning how to fix them too! How do I get into the field ??

If you don’t get a good reply here, go over to r/justrolledintotheshop and ask there. Some people start by taking a class in small engine repair, check for courses near you.

The best way and the way to make the most money is to get into an auto tech program at a community college. You can get into auto repair without schooling, but the key to making money is being good at diagnostics. If you don’t have a deep understanding of electronics, physics, and chemistry, you’ll never be good at diagnostics and you’ll get a lot of comebacks that you’ll have to fix on your own time. Plus, the shop will stop giving you the money making jobs.
