2004 toyota camry 2.4l l4 263k miles
Got the infamous bank 1 p0420 catalytic converter code,
Just wondering how do I differentiate between the actual cat and an oxygen sensor or gas tank cap
Car is running fine but Definitely lower fuel economy

A P0420 is never an O2 sensor on a Toyota. If the O2 was bad it would set an O2 code, not a P0420.
Check for an exhaust leak or high fuel trims. If both are ok, then the cat is bad. It’s just that simple.
Thanks friend c: im still learnin so I appreciate ya
I see a high of 10.2 for long term trim and 12.5 for short term, these seem a little high, right? *
