Hi fellow Europeans, I stumbled upon a Spyder ducktail from a Porsche dealer in USA, which I would very much like for my 718 Boxster. So naturally, I contacted my local Porsche dealer for an inquiry on the Spyder ducktail. They want €2600 incl. taxes. In comparison, the Porsche dealer in USA wants €600 (on sale from €800).
I tried looking on the internet for other dealers, but I can’t find anything original, and most is also just carbon fiber.
Does anyone know where I can source this (original) ducktail for a reasonable price? If I were to ship the one from USA to Europe it’ll run me €1200 total. Thanks
Just a heads up: if you put this on your 718 non-Spyder your car is likely to get flagged and is not eligible for the Porsche Approved Warranty as long as the ducktail stays on the car.
Really? Is there evidence of that happening with Preacher? Manufacturers typically can only void the portions of the warranty directly related to a part failure because of the specific mod.
So, for instance if you mod your exhaust and your headlights fail (and the would be converted otherwise), the manufacturer can’t deny the headlight replacement, etc etc
I did not say anything about voiding the warranty. I said the car could be flagged as modified and hence not be able to even get the warranty in the first place.
Ah sorry - didn’t realize you were referring to the extended warranty.
