Can lane departure assist steering be permanently disabled, so it doesn’t need to be turned off each time you start the car? Considering a 2024 RAV4 Hybrid. Didn’t get a clear answer from Google.

    depends on which market you are in.

    the EU now only considers safety systems for their ratings that are turned on by default and require more than one button press to turn off.

    thats why many manufacturers simply do that for every car everywhere as its just a matter of time till others will follow with similar legislation.
