In all stat metric Chelsea seems to be a top 4 team. Should be serious about their project now. But still not worried

If they get top 4 I would be worried. They will spend $200M plus again and will definitely get Osinhem plus more attackers. Probably another defender too they will be a threat.

They have no plan with their signings just whatever talent is available they’re interested in. They will never be a threat doing that not how football works - when they actually start building around a manager with a clear philosophy and culture they will fail

Disagree because if you throw enough money around you will find something that works and its clearly starting to.

They were better than us in our game. Better than City in theirs. Better than pool. They have had some shaky outings but its clearly a talented core thats improving. They will only get better.

Pretty much. They’re like your mate that can’t get a 9 to go out with him so he dates a 7 and tells everyone she’s a 9. Enzo and Moises aren’t worth half of what they paid for them. To top it off they guaranteed their contracts for 8 fucking years so they have no incentive to even prove it.

Osimhen will have the pick of every team in the world if he chooses to leave. The chance he ends up at Chelsea is slim to none

If they get top 4 he is going to Chelsea they are the only ones who will pay as much as everyone wants.

Chelsea doesn’t pay crazy wages anymore and he is established and talented enough now to not be tempted by a 8 years contract that will handcuff him to Chelsea…

i don’t think they can do 8 year contracts anymore if they qualify in europe

i mean they can do it but the transfer fee will not be spread along those years, so there is a chance they will stop with this after they qualify to europe

1 billion quid spent on a team that already cost close to 2 billion… shouldn’t even be a project they should be dominating - their standards are in the bin after last season that’s the only reason Poch hasn’t been sacked already

Their metrics look decent but that’s what happens you spend £135m on two CMs but have Jackson up front and Sanchez in goal

      Joke of a club

To be fair, we spent 165m on mids this transfer window and have had nketiah up too this season

We don’t have the same funds, we needed midfielders more than strikers. I suspect if we had more money to spend we’d go for a forward option.

We did and we’re not 10th like them as a result 😂 if we spent that much in all areas of the team like they did we’d be well ahead probably (if only we didn’t spaff £65m on their flop tho)

Also our whole front line cost around the same as Mudryk so they should have way more depth than us up front even with Nkunku injured

To reiterate: a billion pounds invested into a billion pound team. Not even close to the same thing.

we just need to stop allowing the bigger teams to do better than this , and we’ll do great this season (teams like spurs, chelsea, newcastle)

I think this kind of shows why Arteta relies in Saka so much. Pretty much all the teams are most exposed going down the RW or conversely, that’s how most teams develop their attack through the RW.

I find crystal palace really interesting. For a team that doesn’t have the squad to completely control the ball like the top teams, surely their heatmap is absolutely textbook? Defend your box super well, let them play in their own half and your wide areas
