Some Arsenal fans would rather see him fail, even at our expense. The reality is that we’ve taken a gamble on him, we don’t need him to be scoring and assisting right away, and he is definitely working hard defensively which has contributed to why we’re better defensively overall this season. He will need to improve when it comes to his attacking contributions, but in the meantime we back him and trust Arteta to make the right personnel decisions.

It’s my personal hope that ESR can get his injury/fitness issues finally resolved but that day may never come.

      I dont believe you.

Find me one person who would prefer Arsenal suffer because they want Kai to fail.

The negative comments come from people thinking the reason Arsenal isn’t performing in attack is because of Kai. I’m not saying that outlook is correct, it is much more nuanced, but it certainly isn’t wishing Arsenal to fail to win an Internet argument.

To switch it around, ‘Some Arsenal fans would rather see him play until he succeeded, even if it meant Arsenal would drop points.’

What a dumb comment dude. No fan is hoping we lose just to make Havertz look bad lmao. People disliked Xhaka up until he was a key player in our campaign last year. Everyone would love for Havertz to play a positive role in the starting roster it’s just that he hasn’t proven to be capable of that yet. Get real

Its the straw man argument. Can’t say a player is bad and a net negative for the team without hating the club or wanting better.

Are you serious? Declan’s the one whose contributed defensively. When was the last time you saw him make a clean tackle? And his a CAM not CDM.

Kai Havertz is a below average defender on every aspect besides winning aerials: https://fbref.com/en/players/fed7cb61/Kai-Havertz

How someone could watch this team play and come away with the idea that Havertz is the key to our defensive improvement is beyond me. That would be Declan Rice and a healthy back line lol

Appreciate the effort, hope to see it translate to results soon. But Kai certainly does not offer enough defensively to be a non factor in the attack
