It’s just like the recommended oil certification. Oil companies have to pay to get that certification… It doesn’t matter if it’s BMW long life, Mercedes-Benz, dexos. If the company doesn’t pay they can’t advertise it on their bottle.
I’m not talking about an oil supplier. I’m talking about a whole partnership between the two companies. That’s why you see BMWs in Shell adverts and Shell sell M sport merch and that’s why BMW recommends Shell fuel.
Yeah, but Shell premium is generally better than other fuels. It creates more horsepower, and is presumably a cleaner fuel. HotRod Magazine does an independent test on an engine dino every few years and Shell Vpower premium always wins out.
Shell paid to have that there.

Was going to say paid advertising for sure
Most accurate answer.
Not most accurate I know if it’s an NA car it’s specifically paid for
Edit for clarity: it’s 100% accurate no qualifier necessary
It’s only a sticker because they’ll recommend someone else if they place a higher bid.
I mean Shell have been partnering up with BMW and Ferrari for a while now, so isn’t really a surprise.
You mean pretty much Ferrari and Ferrari right?
Couldn’t have said it better myself tbh

Between you guys and the Volvo guys lately, it’s been a real weird show.
Who wants to be normal?
Touché.
I thought it was “fix it again, Tony”
No, that’s KIA
killed in action
Shut up, Dale
I fuckin knew it!
Shell (Pennzoil) was only a BMW supplier for a couple years. Now back to Castrol.

Shell is penzoil?

Oh agreed. Just with they had higher than 91 octane here.
Around here, Chevron tends to be the best.
Most gas stations all sell the same gas from the closest refinery.
Shell and Sunoco pretty regularly beat out others. It only really matters if you’re running a tuned car, but there’s a noticeable difference.
Just like how castor oil on some oil caps.
Do you mean… Castrol?
