A lot of people hate on “NPC” colors like white, black, grey, and I’ve even heard blue.

I think there’s nothing more “NPC” than to pick a different (and sometimes ugly) color just for the sake of being different. It reeks of “I need to feel special”. If you love a specific yellow or green on your car that’s great but if you’re just doing it to avoid having an “NPC” color, you’re the NPC.

I know this post will be unpopular because the r/cars take is “grey bad!” so I expect a lot of downvotes by the “actually my Civic is orange because I’m just so exciting as a person totally not boring!” crowd

I think you’re missing the point a lot of people make.

A 1998 Camry, a “boring” car, had 10 color options, not just black, white, silver and gray (and maybe one blue). Today, so many cars have a limited color palette it’s a shame. You may not like them, but the option to get a variety of reds, greens, blues, etc. was neat.
