    I wanted to lease a Model 3 before Thanksgiving, with 5K down; the monthly payment is $450 with taxes, plus Tesla quoted me $300 for the insurance. So it is $750 a month. Plus, I don’t qualify for the federal tax credit because of my income. I went ahead and bought a 2011 Ford Ranger for $10k.
