My favourite flathead broke this morning prying back a calliper piston (not asking for judgment this is how I was taught and this is the way I’m comfortable doing it) and I’m looking for a sturdy flat head. The one I had before broke because it was a cheap and skinny one and I’ve never had the same issue before with thick screwdrivers but idk what to replace it with
Replace it with a caliper compressing tool…
try a pry bar… also known as a spring bar… something like this…

screwdrivers are hardened differently…
i usually use a big C clamp on calipers that i can to compress the caliper against the remaining pad rotor and pad…
The only problem with a C clamp is that some callipers have motors with plastic covers on them and you risk breaking the motor. Thanks for the link
