Im currently trying to decided which to buy a m5 comp or m8 comp , they have the same engine but I wanna know which would be better to suit me. I’m 19 with no responsibility as of yet and have a job to pay for either car it so which one do you guys think I should get?

Ima need completely real with you man and give it to u straight up first off UR 19 and from ur comments u work a pretty decent income job BUT u live in California one of the most expensive states yes ur making good money but focus on saving for a rainy day or the future and move out of home FIRST you have to pay a mortgage for a car plus gas, insurance,REGULAR maintenance, and what if it breaks down? Tires aren’t cheap on that vehicle. You don’t need it be smart and SAVE stay home and SAVE. Also when u move out with that vehicle you still need groceries, rent, utilities make sure ur living good and can go to the movies without having to worry it’s not worth it I promise. I’m 21 and I bought a nice townhouse for myself and a 650i could I have gotten a M6 yes but I will I’m a few more years when I’m more comfortable. BE SMART but at the end of the day you gotta live paying 1300+ a month just on a car note

Its the same car, kind of like M3 vs M4. Just get what you think looks better. M5 will probably hold value better and easier to sell since it has usable back seats.

Not sure where M5 prices are but the 2020 M8 has lost like 50% of its value.

    Neither.

Invest your money. Respect it. Buy a house. Or a few houses. Double, quadruple or multiply by many the amount. Retire before the age of 40. Then go live your life; buy what the hell you want without asking for anyone’s opinion. Enjoy!

M5 but I prefer sedans. I’ve driven both on a track recently and they haul ass. M8 AWD system felt more sophisticated. As a young person, I assume you’ll have friends around so perhaps a car that fits 4 would better match your lifestyle.

The M8 is a great GT car. So if going on cruises / club drives are of importance, then this would be the better choice.

You’ll be happy with either so don’t stress it.

Lol you will fuck up both. Leave men’s car to a man boy. Stop trying to live above your means unless daddy is paying.
