Electricity price is a big problem with EV, but it is also a big problem with other means of transportation (trains, trams, …), heating, cooling, cooking etc.
Electricity prices in Europe are currently crazy and have to be addressed.
Also residual value is important, as it makes the brand more valuable.
For most people, it’s still much cheaper. But, end game, if overall ownership costs end up being the same as an ICE vehicle… that’s a net positive for the entire planet.
