Will the anti-glare hurt the vibrancy of the colors/screen compared to the 512GB OLED variant without anti-glare?

It seems like the general consensus is yes, but not by a lot?

I already have a 2TB LCD Steam deck so with either version I buy I’m going to swap that 2TB nvme into my new OLED.

So it’s less about the storage space and more about which screen is better. I tend to believe that the 512GB OLED is objectively better, even if slightly more so, than the 1TB OLED anti-glare screen.

Thoughts?

I have the 1TB model shipping to me currently. Now, I have only had 4k oled tvs with a glossy screen as well as a glossy Alienware 34" monitor.

Everyone here seems to be guessing that the glossy screen will ‘pop’ more.
Please give me one H2H comparison to prove so, as ill order the 512GB model and return the 1TB, if so.

But, in all due respect, everyone here is guessing it seems.

You would think Valve would put the better oled screens in its two most expensive models, don’t you think?

Also, im not one to open up the SD to put in a higher capacity SSD, so that 512GB better last me until the SD2 in late 2025?

However if there is a noticeable difference in a dark room, I’ll deal with lesser storage. But I need concrete proof!

Still can’t decide on which OLED screen to use. I watched a YouTube video where they had the new etched oled and a non etched led. The reflections were really bad on the LCD. However, I guess that’s in a studio with bright lights. I will mainly play at home. Just wondering if the colours will look better on the 512gb or better to vet the 1tb!? Both expensive so my choice is mainly down to quality of screen…grrrrr can’t decide which would be better!?
