This neoliberal capitalism won the battle, but the people will eventually win the war. France seems to be the vanguard. Change has to start somewhere.

      That’s the spirit ;)

Hopefully it will happen before it’s too late, with climate looming in a not-so-far future.

Thought experiment: What if FDR wasn’t able to pass the New Deal to assuage communism in America? America joins with the Soviet Union to defeat the Nazis and forms an alliance with them and eventually China. Where would we be now?

I’m not that familiar with US history, but isn’t the New Deal about the 90% tax on the rich?

And about China, it seemed to be a devastated country at the time, which took the wrong turn. WTF Social Credit, HK, etc…

Yeah, we’ll never know. All 3 would be different. Another one is if America had lost it’s revolution. Would England have been the Empire to end all empires?

When the queen died and Charles took the throne and visited the common wealth countries, that’s what’s left from the empire. The US took one step further, but i’m not sure it would have stayed that powerful.

And with the decline of the US we are seeing, it’s like another empire ending.

              Empires rise and die.
