I have a 2016 Honda Accord Sport and am in need of a tire alignment. It’s also time for new tires due to uneven wear. Currently, I had to replace 1 tire temporarily (nail close to sidewall) and got a used tire with the same thread depth as my others. Thinking about signing up for Firestone lifetime alignment. Can I get the alignment done now, then get my tires replaced in about a month or should I wait to do the alignment once I get the new tires on?
Firestone uses a laser alignment and goes off of the rim not your tire so getting am alignment now would be beneficial, especially since you said you have a tire with uneven wear. Could need something fixed and better to fix it before you get new tires. You can always get another alignment when you get the new tires on too.
Be wary of the “lifetime” alignments. There could be a clause that states the warranty is only good on the parts currently on your vehicle. If you change anything, and Firestone didn’t do the work themselves, they won’t honor it. Pep Boys has this “feature,” so does Belle Tire. Read the fine print.
