I won’t be overclocking anything. The main purpose is video editing and gaming. I’m considering picking up Lian Li Galahad 240mm with the i5 13600K. Is it good enough?

I have the 13600k and deepcool ak620 in a matx case. It depends on the ambient temp of your room but for almost all cases, I’d say AIO is more than enough. Overkill even
Yes, i cool my overclocked 14600k with a cheap, old 240mm corsair AIO. I replaced the radiator fans with high-speed Arctic 12 max fans, though.
I don’t understand why you need an AIO for an i5. I am using a 10900k with a Noctua D15 stock and it’s running perfectly fine. An air cooler like Noctua U14s, U12A or D15 is more than enough for stock settings. You may need though a contact frame.

I cool my 13700K with a 240mm AIO. However that’s strictly for gaming. No rendering or video editing. That’s where you really start to see higher temps. So depends how taxing the video editing you’re doing is?

I have a 13600k w/ 240 aio ek basic + 2x NF-A12x25 in a Dan a4 h20 sff.
It’s enough at stock. It’s better with a 100-200mV undervolt.
Fans generally stay quiet, this is paired with a 4090 FE. Gaming fans spin up on the odd occasion but varies what game. I use davinci for small projects and encode on the cpu, fans will go to max.

It will be OK …it even handles 14900 kf. 2x cores at 6.244 6@5.844. And all Ecores Ecores boosted also Plus over spinning the bus at 101.50. Does pretty well.
lmao I’m running a 240mm rad for an i7 13700kf with a lil undervolt and I never go past 70s gaming, 94 all core loads (getting 29k points on cinebench r23) on an itx case with a 4070ti dumping heat all over the place. I think you’re good if you want to go with it. but I recommend an air cooler since they’re less of a hassle.
It depends on the AIO. I’m cooling my 13600kf with an air cooler and it does a great job!
You could make good arguments either way but X240 snow has great reviews. I have used three of those in builds you’re getting two for one at $54 with free shipping. You are using natural ventilation do not only cool your CPU blow that hot air right out of the top of your computer that heat from the CPU is being bone directly back into the case you may have a pointed at your exhaust fan, but there is still here that would not otherwise be there

In the 240 mm are use the X240snow. And in my 14 900 KM I use the LT 720 360. It does time the beast 14900 you can do a little bit of overclocking, but you can’t lean on it all the way
As far as the 13 600 Are used it for my 13 700 KF with a 7900xtx and it kept it cold enough to be in the top 1%. Of all and all in time spy Time Spy. I did not mess with voltage but I did turn the bus up to 102.75% but with everything on auto did get more juice lol. Z790 aero
ive got a 240mm and a 14900k i9 its fine, you just run risks doing anything crazy
eventually im upgrading to a 360 this cpu is a absolute beast even with a 240!
What are Ur temps like during gaming and benchmarks?
45 - 55 degrees celcius while gaming and doing other multitasking tasks, pch is like 63 degrees, when i do cpu intensive tasks like using the cpu encoder to record or something the cpu core goes to 100 lol, everything works I hope i’ll be able to push recordings and stuff and the pricy cooler I have will help keep the hot temperatures at bay while recording
Yes. I use the LT520 from deepcool, and it keeps my 13600KF at a cool 55c when gaming. 75c doing a multi core benchmark on cinebench 2024. (4.6ghz all core)

Maybe. But a 240mm AIO has no advantages over a good air-cooler, and all the downsides of an AIO. Eg. pointless.
Yes it does, especially when you mount high quality fans on the radiator.
Air coolers are old tech nowadays, there is no reason to use them as AIO’s are cheap enough to where the cost factor isn’t that bad and water cooling is just better technology. All the heat gets dissipated to the radiator instead of blown into the case like an air cooler does. Plus you don’t get the loud arse fans on the air cooler that ramp up.
But a 240mm AIO has no advantages over a good air-cooler
Space constrained cases (ITX, mini-ITX) are basically only for AIOs.

I fixed my 9 yr old NH-D14 on it and it handles it just fine (no overclocking).
I highly highly heavily recommend a phantom spirit 120, it’s one of the best for dirt cheap and looks quite nice too. I have used this cooler on a 12900k, 13700k, and 7800x3d with no issues.
I’m currently using Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE, its about in line with a NH-D15 and costs about $36 on Amazon. Currently using it in an itx build with a 13700K. The non-SE is just as good but more for a sleek look without the 7 heatpipes sticking out.
I’m using a Deepcool AK500 with my 13600K and it works great. Imo there’s no need for an AIO on an i5.
the peerless spirit is not sufficient at all. Do not listen to people recommending it. I tested it myself.

That’s not always true, it depends where you place the AIO radiator, some ITX case for example perform better that an aircooler because the heat is transport somewhere else.
What most people do is place the radiator at front of the case and blow the hot air inside the case, yes then there is no advantage.
No advantages in temperatures, at least. There is an ease-of-handling advantage in being able to relocate the radiator, as opposed to having a big chunk of metal fixed around the CPU area.
