Just curious, because personally I bought it mostly with a hope that I will start playing games again and I’m overthinking if it will be what I needed.
Lately (for 2 years) feeling kinda depressed and not really playing games, finished one title (Disco Elysium) in this time. I have some backlog at steam but I’m thinking if I’ll even use the deck…
I’m thinking of buying the new OLED deck. I do have a decent gaming PC for sim racing, but haven’t been able to gain the enthusiasm to use that for other games. At 43 I’m hoping a Steam Deck will get my enthusiasm back for gaming and I will pair it with my Viture One XR glasses that are arriving today so that should be a pretty sweet setup 😎
I just got a steam deck, only playing civ 5 atm with my tcl nxtwear glasses. Best way to use it in my opinion!
I just think the ability to have a hand held PC console like this and pair it with a pair of glasses that projects a 120” screen in front of your face is such an exciting proposition. I’ll have to wait to order the OLED version as I’m away for a month. Wish I had ordered one sooner.
Mine is the non oled but I don’t even use the screen, the screen turns off when the glasses are plugged in.
How much more battery time have you gotten from your steam deck using your glasses compared to the lcd display?
I’ve never used it without the glasses so I don’t know. I am getting 4 hours playing civ 5. The battery has never run out, still showing 10%.
4 hours is still very good. The more I read reviews on all the latest handheld gaming devices, I think the OLED SD is the one I’ll end up buying. It just seems the best all rounder for what I need.
