Pennziol Full Synthetic Platinum has natural gas as its base component. It’s considered ‘cleaner’ than crude based like Mobil One. Strictly a brand preference if you do 5K changes. Semi synthetics can contain a little as 10% synthetic and be called that.
Makes me wonder if I would notice any difference switching from semi castrol 5w-30 to that pennzoil ive seen so much of. Granted its an s10 I would be throwing that nice oil into. But its a low miles one.
My engine has been very happy with Pennzoil Platinum. I burn less than a quart beween oil changes.
