Norway had several chances of qualifying for the Euros but they never lived up to their expectations. Haaland is the best striker in the world and Odegaard is a top midfielder and captain, for both the national team and one of the best teams in the Premier League. Norway is still managing to feed Haaland, with an insane 27 goals. What gives, terrible tactics or synergy issues?
A team consist out of 11 players, a 22 man squad and a manager.
Who said anything about 22 man squad?
Actually i think its a 26 man squad. But yea. Kinda hard fer two guys to carry when they aren’t training every day
Their squad is so much better than Scotlands. Almost all of them are in the top division of one of the big 5 leagues while half of Scotland’s team is in the championship
This is just such obviously incorrect bullshit. The teams have roughly similar numbers of players playing in top leagues. Nowhere near the whole Norwegian squad is playing in top 5 leagues. A 1 minute Google search would show you that.
Scotland are better than Norway. Deal with it.
Apparently not.
If the Norway team was so much better than Scotlands they wouldn’t be 6 pts off them. The level you play at individually doesn’t dictate how good a squad you have. Scotlands squad is brilliant, Clarke has built a very good team.
That just shows the strength of the championship
Should’ve beaten us in Oslo then. And not been shit in the rest of qualifying
Football is a team sport. Names and clubs are important but never as important as the strength of an actual unit. You can have 11 Messi’s on the field but if you don’t know how to make a real team out of them, their potential will be wasted. If Norway had the talent of France or England they could just wing teams like Scotland with crappy team unity or bad tactics. But they only have really two good players. They need to have their team working well and they simply don’t.
Well, there’s the CB who plays in a club at relegation spot in the domestic league with 2 matches to play.
Umfortunately, that’s the club I support… Tough times.
doesnt mean anything team chemistry is everything look at Manchester united
Especially when 1 of those “best players in the world” misses more matches than you’d expect.
